Whilst working at ANM (now AND) I was part of the core design team which built this site. This was probably the biggest development in the Daily Mail newspaper's 100+ years history.
Launched in April 2004. the project took just over six months from start to finish. The design had to incorporate challenging editorial requirements and demanding commercial ad sizes.
This was the first site in the ANM portfolio which was built with modern web standards coding. At the time this project was one of the largest sites to be built like this. It was also the first major UK newspaper to consider the accessibility access issues of users, when coding the site.
