Ink-dot is a side project I run with Hannah McVicar, an illustrator from Jamaica St Studios. Together we put on exhibitions of design and illustration work. We create the exhibitions by setting a title/theme and colour palette for the show, and then inviting over 100+ designers and illustrators to enter pieces. We are currently organising our 5th show, due to open on Dec 2, at the Glass Room Gallery in the Colston Hall Foyer.
All prints are editioned and available for sale through our website
www.ink-dot.co.uk. To date we have sold over 100 prints in just over 18 months.
All branding, site design and build for Ink-dot was done by myself.
We are fast getting a name amongst the creative tallent of Bristol for putting on exciting and interesting looking exhibitions. We feel that we put large contemporary collective exhibitions of works by creatives. We have an exciting mix of entrants to our show - we do not work with just one style or genere. We exhibit young graduates alongside designers with 30 + years professional experience - comic artists, alongside tradionalists - video animators alongside people who only use pencils.
Alongside the December exhibition, we are looking a publishing a book/magazine, which will colate the best pieces we've worked with so far.
