The IOP Science is an off shoot of the iop.org website. This site is used to distribute the vast abmount of content available from all 60+ IOP journals.
The physics journals world deals with lots of complext, scientific data, which is organised and distributed in many bespoke ways. This site was designed and built to provide a clear route through the content, so that the users could quickly and easily find what they need.
Journal based content - and particularly Science based journal content, has many diffent information fields and catagorisations methods. This site was designed and built to maximise the information displayed per journal article, but at the same time to make it as simple to use as possible.
I have an ongoing relationshop with IOP and am working on a number of projects with them, to increase the dynamism of the site - by implementing a number of Jquery features.
I was the chief front-end developer on this large site build.
