Newsquest is one of the largest press publishing companies in the UK. They are owned by the largest newspaper publishers in the US, Gannett.
I worked with Newsquest on redesigning the look and rebuilding the code for their 150+ local newspaper websites, these include Brighton's The Argus, The Northern Echo, The Surrey Comet and The Oxford Times.
Newsquest were after a complete overhaul of their websites, as they were about 5 + years old.
As well as bringing the site visually up-to-date, they wanted to add lots of video content, increase user generated content and improve user redirection around the websites.
I worked closely with many different departments within Newsquest in order to provide everyone with improved oppertunities for their sites.
In the design process this meant working with the Editorial, Commercial and Communities departments, and then in the build process I worked closely with the technical team who integrated my code with their new CMS.
